Job Description:

Electro-mechanical and mechatronics technicians install, maintain, and repair automated machinery and computer-controlled mechanical systems in industrial settings. They also test, operate, or maintain automated & robotic equipment at worksites. Be familiar with various types of voltages 12v 24, 120v 220v, 480v AC/DC. Install repair or replace parts & components in various automated machinery. Read & interpret manuals, drawing, schematics for automated machinery. Understand hydraulics, pneumatics & machine water systems, Glue & Adhesive systems.

Electro-Mechanical Technician must possess the ability to perform the following:

Troubleshoot and repair/rebuild automated machinery.
Read technical drawings and written instructions.
Utilize hand tools, small power tools, soldering equipment and other special equipment to perform assigned job
Perform equipment failure analysis and repairs and preventative maintenance.
Learn and maintain proficiency on all applicable software formats.
Follow work instructions and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Main responsibilities:

Troubleshooting technical issues
Supporting the Operational Teams / colleagues in resolving the technical issues on the machine
Working towards a zero-breakdown and zero-stop mentality, reducing the maintenance costs including reducing working capital for spare parts
Taking ownership for a working area by monitoring key maintenance KPI’s, such as breakdowns and have a strong service-department mind set towards the operations
Performing high quality root-cause analysis for technical and process problems
Supporting, suggesting and implementing improvements (Safety, Technology, Process)
Project work (Design through to Installation)
PLC fault finding

Desirable skills & knowledge:

High school or equivalent
Mechanical knowledge: 1 year
Electrical Knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
Vo-Tech/Trade School 1-3 years (Preferred)
Mechatronics School 1-3 years (Preferred)
