Scunthorpe North

As Europe’s largest quartz worktop processing centre, our brand-new 150,000 sq.ft. Scunthorpe North caters for the unprecedented demand for affordable quartz stone worktops and complements the Wren Quartz manufacturing facility at the Nest in Barton-upon-Humber.

Leading the Way with Innovation

Our ethos is all about keeping everything in-house. Every step of our manufacturing process happens in the UK. This means we can keep a careful eye on everything we do and keep costs low and quality high.

“We’ve reinvested back into our business to create this new state-of-the-art facility which is required to cope with our increased demand of fabricating high-quality quartz worktops for our customers across the UK.

“It is the largest quartz fabrication site in Europe, and we are utilising the most sophisticated machinery in the industry, such as robotic CNC saws.”

- Kes Serelis, UK Manufacturing Operations Director

Environmental & Social Responsibility

We’re definitely devoted to our kitchens – but that’s not all. We do our best to look after our 8,500+ employees and the environment too.

In our Scunthorpe North factory, our specialist machinery shapes and cuts the worktops, producing a lot of surplus offcuts. However, this does not go to waste as local agricultural companies take advantage of this and repurpose it for road surfaces.

To deliver the quartz, we have our very own bespoke double-decker lorries with A-Frames to secure the stone during transit. We also optimise our delivery routes to make sure we minimise time on the road. This helps the environment by cutting down on emissions.

Official Approved Training

We’ve received the seal of approval for our first-class manufacturing training facilities.

After a rigorous three-day assessment, the British Accreditation Council (BAC) recommended the standards and quality of our bespoke health and safety training. This top accolade means we train to the same high standards as colleges and further education courses.

In addition to this welcome news, works have progressed rapidly over the past couple of years on our new £120 million kitchen manufacturing and assembly facility – creating a further 900 new jobs for the region, such as machine operators, team leaders, compliance officers and managers.

At Wren, we care about our customers, colleagues, products and service – relentlessly pursuing excellence and growth.
